Q: Think deeply for these questions… Why did you choose to do a Boudoir Session?

A: I originally chose to do a boudoir session after seeing a friend of mine radiate after her own session. She couldn’t speak any higher of Billie, and then we saw her photos!

Q: What were your thoughts before booking the Boudoir by Billie Experience?

A: I was nervous - I thought I’d get awkward photos and look completely ridiculous. How could this possibly be a positive experience?! I’m thankful there is no refund because that ensured I showed up ;)

Q: How did you feel BEFORE your session V.S. how you felt DURING / AFTER the Experience?

A: Before I totally suffered from imposter syndrome. I felt a bit like a nerd! And after.. well, after I felt like my inner goddess had been unleashed! Billie brought out a confidence in me I never thought possible!

Q: How did you feel when you saw your photographs for the very first time?

A: No way that is ME!? I cussed a lot. I laughed. And I cried. Because Billie captured the goddess - she saw it before I even realized I had finally stepped into my own skin.

Q: What was your favorite part about the whole EXPERIENCE?

A: This is hard. I want to say the confidence piece, but I think it’s the friendship and community that came as a result. These women are so uplifting and positive. I thought I was walking away with stunning photos of myself, captured by a queen but I received so much more than that. I found a space where women support and encourage one another.

Q: Did a boudoir session with Billie change the way you see yourself?

A: YES! So much so that I’ve already been to her twice! I have no intention of stopping, either. Billie’s ability to capture confidence behind the camera is truly incredible - but it’s her ability to make it walk out of the studio with her clients that is miraculous. The experience was therapeutic and exhilarating! Every time I leave, I have a better understanding of me. And there’s no price I’d put on that. Invest in yourself. Billie helps you do just that.

Q: What do you say to anyone thinking about booking a session?

A: Book it now and figure out the rest later! You found Billie for a reason - embrace the new version of you that is about to unfold! It’s the ultimate self love. From Billie and Marisa welcoming you with the biggest hugs to finding your groove behind the camera (trust me - you will!!), this is an opportunity to sit with your best self. So you’ve been tossing around the idea of having a boudoir session… (First of all, HELL YES! So exciting!) You’ve found a few photographers in the area and started really looking at their photos… But how do you choose the right boudoir photographer for you?

Here are a few questions I want you to ask yourself before you book your Boudoir-grapher: 

1. Do you LOVE their work?

The photographer you choose has to have that little something special that grabs your attention and makes you want to see more of their work. Be sure to always follow your potential boudoir-graphers social media pages and look at their website to see their work, products they offer and look over pricing. Ask yourself, Do I like their style of photography, the way they edit their pictures and the products that they offer? Is their style represented throughout all of their social media? Is it consistent?

Choose someone you’re *obsessed* with!

2. Do you feel a CONNECTION with the photographer?

This is very important, almost more important than pricing!

Does the photographer you are thinking of have an introduction of themselves on their website or social media? Are you able to see any photos of them? Maybe some behind the scenes footage? Do you feel as though they are speaking directly to you with their messages/posts online? 

These are all very important things to consider, I say that because you want to feel as comfortable as you can with your photographer because you will be the one stripping down for the camera. You definitely want a Boudoir-grapher who will cheer you on the entire time and make you feel as though you are one of their very best friends… hell yes babe!

3. What do you GET for your money?

I am sure by know you know all too well that there are so many different pricing breakdowns by each and every studio you’ve looked at – and this is because what works for me, may not work for another photographer and big cities vs. small towns play a part in this as well. Most if not all Boudoir studios have a set session fee, so when booking your Boudoir Experience make sure you check what all is included in the session fee you are paying! 

These session fees might seem like a small amount of money but don’t get too caught up in that as most Boudoir studios don’t include products of any sort in that initial fee. You’re investing in their studio, hair and makeup artist crew and their time creating beautiful artwork with you! And always, always, always ask questions! This is a big investment in yourself and I would never want you to get the wrong idea or information in regards to your session.

A: I did it for myself. I wanted to not only feel sexy but also empowered in my own skin. As women we are hard on ourselves and our bodies. There are unrealistic, unattainable beauty standards all around us and being forced in our faces 24/7. I love the body positive movement happening right now but it wasn’t always this way. I’m 37 and didn’t think I would every do a photo shoot like this but here I am! I LOVE the pictures and the mental barrier I crossed taking this leap to do this for myself was with it. My only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner. This was such a great experience! Thank you Billie! 🔥 ❤️

Q: What were your thoughts before booking the Boudoir by Billie Experience?

A: I honestly didn’t know what to expect. I didn’t think it was going to go well and I was beating myself up over gaining weight if I’m being honest.

A: Before my session I was feeling excited and after I was feeling the same.

Q: How did you feel when you saw your photographs for the very first time?

A: I was absolutely blown away by how my essence was captured. My pictures were 🔥.

Q: What was your favorite part about the whole EXPERIENCE?

A: The hair and makeup. I’ve never had my makeup done by a makeup artist so that was really fun.

Q: Did a boudoir session with Billie change the way you see yourself?

A: Definitely!

Q: What do you say to anyone thinking about booking a session?

A: Just do it! If it’s in your mind throw your doubts away and do it for yourself. What’s the worst that can happen?
