Tell us about yourself!

A little about me: I’m a goofy, smart and caring person. I’m obsessed with cats and coffee! I’m a radiation therapist so I work with people overcoming challenges of skin cancer. I’m just a big kid at hear.

Why did you choose to do a session? What were you most excited about?

I chose to do a session because I was tired of not doing enough for myself. I’m a super caring person and sometimes I forget to take care of myself. I figured why not take a chance? Why not go out of my comfort zone and try something new? I was most excited about seeing myself in a new light, about gaining new self love and discovery. I knew this experience could not only change the way I look at myself, but the way I felt inside too.

What were your thoughts before booking the Boudoir by Billie Experience?

Before booking the experience I struggled with my self image. I didn’t know if I wanted to see photographs of myself. I knew it was out of my comfort zone, but I knew I needed to push myself. My anxiety kept telling me “You can’t do this, it’s not you. You aren’t pretty or skinny enough”. I ignored the voice in my head and pushed the book button without hesitation. Let me tell you I’m so glad I did.

How did you feel when you saw your photographs for the very first time?

When I saw my photographs for the first time my jaw literally dropped to the ground! I was hesitant to look at them in the beginning. As the slideshow started I couldn’t take my eyes off of it, off of me. It made me feel beautiful in more ways than I could have imagined. It touched my soul.

 What was your favorite part about the whole experience?

My favorite part of the whole experience was feeling so comfortable! Billie was amazing! She made me feel like we had known each other for years! I felt like I could be myself and that helped me shine.

What do you say to anyone thinking about booking a session?

To anyone thinking about booking a boudoir experience with Billie: What do you have to lose? If we never tried new experiences or went on new and exciting adventures, have we even lived our lives to the fullest? I struggle with anxiety and depression & I was tired of it controlling me. This was one way I could express myself and get out of my shell. I recommend this for anyone who wants to find themselves again, who wants to feel beautiful, or who just wants a new adventure. Did a boudoir session with Billie change the way you see yourself?

A boudoir session with Billie completely changed the way I look at myself. After my body image changed over time, I grew a stranger to it. I refused to love myself because I looked different than before. I was heavier, I had stretch marks, I had lost self-confidence. I needed something to lift my spirits and to show me how beautiful I am inside and out. My album is my baby. I look at it all the time, especially on a really bad day. I now know I am beautiful and I learned to love myself again.

Q: Why did you choose to do a session? What were you most excited about?

A: After seeing a mutual friend on Facebook post about Billie's page, I saw an event for her open house in her NEW Ashland Studio. I recruited one of my girlfriends to come with me. We were the very first ones in line; eager to get a goody bag and see the studio.

Q: What were your thoughts before booking the Boudoir by Billie Experience?

A: I was hesitant to book at first, more nervous than anything, but I couldn't pass up the VIP booking for attending the open house and ended up booking that night after more than a few wonderful ladies there convinced me it was more than worth it! I also booked it a few months in advance to save up some money and round
up something to wear.

Q: How did you feel when you saw your photographs for the very first time?

A: When I went to my reveal and saw my photos for the first time, I got goosebumps that lasted forever. I had the hardest time trying to narrow it down to what I wanted to order, so I added a few bonus pages for my album, and ended up just purchasing the app with ALL my pictures
so I could look at them anytime I needed the confidence boost.

Q: What was your favorite part about the whole experience?

A: My favorite part about the whole experience was the reveal. Billie put together a video with all the pics and my favorite song and we just sat back and watched it - not gonna lie I got butterflies and teary eyed.

Q: What do you say to anyone thinking about booking a session?

A: All I have to say to those of you thinking about booking is; "Treat yourself!" It's one of the most exhilarating experiences and I think everyone should do it at least once in their life. (Also, some advice for the budget conscious babes like myself, apply for a credit card that gives you a bonus if you spend x amount of dollars in the first 3 months to help you pay AND most don't incur interest for at least the 1st 12 months.)

Q: Did a boudoir session with Billie change the way you see yourself?

A: My session with Billie definitely helped me understand and see that I AM beautiful. Stretch marks, scars, rolls & all. It honestly did wonders with my own self confidence and even within my relationship as well.

I always appreciate you tuning in to see what we’ve got going on in the studio. By now you all know that Marisa & I are always working hard to have the VERY BEST space for you to enjoy and utilize during your Boudoir by Billie Experience. We moved into the new space in April and have been changing little by little every day - evolving into US! This is what the current space is looking like… Cozy, right?!

You’re probably wondering what we’re working on right now… And if you FOLLOW US ON INSTAGRAM, you already know what’s up! But if you don’t, you should go ahead and do that right now - and you also have no idea, and you’re definitely in for a treat!

For months now, we’ve been back and forth on what to put on our very front
wall when you first walk in the door. This also happens to be our
naturally lit STUDIO SPACE as well! This is where all of the magic happens… lame. But true.  ** Here’s a photo of the wall in-use before we decided to cover her with
something bright and fun! It’s still pretty and gives a moody feel, but
we were ready for something different.

We decided to go with a FLORAL wallpaper with a nice, clean, vintage
feel. If you know me, you know that I am not the biggest fan of pink,
but decided to just go with it. Marisa, on the other hand - always yelling at me to add more pink into the decor. We’re getting there… Besides - you have to be a LITTLE girly
sometimes, right? I can’t just have an all black studio (or can i??) ;)

Marisa volunteered herself to help as long as I just “bought the damn thing” - those are her words… she really loves me and how indecisive I can be when making Studio decisions! She’s kind of the best in all the ways if I am being honest! LOVE having her a part of the team here in the Studio! Would you believe me when I say that it only took us AN HOUR AND A HALF, ladies?! Couldn’t have done it without the help from M! PLUS we didn’t even bicker at each other when putting it up!

VOILA! Here she is in all of her glory - completely dried, finished and wrapped in the beautiful natural light from our big windows! We can’t WAIT to see what we create with this beautiful wall!
