Samantha / Babe of the Week

Q: Why did you choose to do a Boudoir Session?
A: It’s always been on my bucket list…and you’ll never know how confidence boosting it can be if you never try it.

Q: What were your thoughts before booking the Boudoir by Billie Experience?
A: I was nervous and kind of intimidated. Seeing the society induced images of how beauty is portrayed, I put a lot of pressure on myself and hopes of “measuring up” to those standards.

Q: How did you feel BEFORE your session V.S. how you felt DURING / AFTER the Experience?
A: Before, I felt intimidated. During the session I began with extreme anxiety, but after Billie took over and showed her expertise in posing and expression it all faded away quickly! She’s definitely a master of her craft!

Q: What was your favorite part about the whole EXPERIENCE?
A: I didn’t have to worry about body position or hair or facial expression…Billie coached and encouraged the whole way through it. Hearing her cheer me on was empowering.

Q: Did a boudoir session with Billie change the way you see yourself?
A: Most definitely, she captured a part of me I never saw before as beautiful.

Q: How did you feel when you saw your photographs for the very first time?
A: Who is this woman??! She’s gorgeous and powerful…and she is ME

Q: What do you say to anyone thinking about booking a session?

A:  I’ve always felt lacking in self esteem and confidence. I seriously wish I wouldn’t have waited to do this!!!

You don’t need to change your body before a boudoir session

HOW TO PREP FOR YOUR BOUDOIR EXPERIENCE.

Hey babe! Billie here…

As I was sitting here relaxing this evening, I just so happened to think about how I haven’t shaved my legs in a week. Or longer.
I was like oh goodness, feeling I need to rush into the bathroom just for this reason - but stopped to think… you know what? THAT’S FREAKING FINE. The world didn’t end because of my hairy legs, did it?!

BUT, my stubbly legs got me thinking about my business and how most women wouldn’t be caught dead without shaving their legs at their session. Or just in general. But the truth is, it’s just hair. Body hair is normal. I don’t actively shave my armpits because I have terrible razor burn and that razor burn causes me physical pain that bothers me more than body hair ever could. And who does my hair effect? Literally nobody. And I’m fine and comfortable in my body in this moment and THAT is what matters.

I know you’re thinking, where is this going, Billie?! But it’s honestly not just about the body hair. It’s about our bodies in general and being okay with where we are in this very moment. It’s hard and I completely 100% understand that. I have so many women afraid of SO many different things before booking their experience.

They want to lose weight.
They want to tan away their complexion.
They want to shave / wax their entire body.
They want to dye their grays away.
They want to get a mole removed.
They want to get plastic surgery.
And the list goes on… and on… and on…

But it’s important to remember that Boudoir is about loving the YOU right now. What does that mean? It means embracing every single part of you that exists. Body hair. Stretch marks. Gray hairs. Chunky thighs. Thin thighs. And everything in-between.

That doesn’t mean that you cannot do any and all of the things above, but the important thing to know is that IT IS NOT REQUIRED for you to book a session or for you to feel beautiful. If these things help you see your own beauty, PLEASE do them for yourself. But know you NEVER need to change unless you want to do it just for you.

Please also promise me that you will NEVER allow something that makes us human stop you from booking your Experience. You are beautiful just how you are in this moment & I would be honored to show you that.

If you have questions about an Experience, let’s chat!
Talk soon, babe.
