Q: Why did you choose to do a Boudoir Session?
A: I was in a spot in my life where I was lost. I didn’t know who I was, what I wanted and I hated almost everything about body. I followed Billie for years and I always wanted to have a session but was waiting until my body ‘looked better’. One day I decided to go ahead and book a session but it was a few months away so I could get myself ready. Well the day came and I wasn’t in the best shape of my life but Billie made me feel beautiful, sexy and confident all the same. It was a few weeks later when she posted a pic on Instagram, I thought damn she’s hot. Then I realized it was ME! Billie has been amazing to work with from the very beginning stages and that was truly just the beginning of the healing process and my journey to love myself inside and out.
Q: What were your thoughts before booking the Boudoir by Billie Experience?
A: I was somewhat panicked I didn’t have the body exactly wanted to do a boudoir photo shoot, I remember my butt was peeling the day of because I was in a rush to get tan before my photo shoot. I was super nervous because posing has never been my strong suit.
Q: How did you feel BEFORE your session V.S. how you felt DURING / AFTER the Experience?
A: I was super nervous before hand. I was so worried I wouldn’t be able to do the poses right.
Q: How did you feel when you saw your photographs for the very first time?
A: The first time I saw a photo of myself was right when I got home. She posted a sneak peek of our shoot and I was completely speechless. I had never seen myself in that light before. I had never viewed myself as being sexy it was a big turning moment in how I felt about myself.
Q: What was your favorite part about the whole EXPERIENCE?
A: EVERYTHING! Literally every single part was amazing I felt comfortable from the moment I stepped into the studio. Marissa does an amazing job with hair and make up and it’s so sweet. Billie is so easy to talk to and you feel like you’ve been friends forever even though your first meeting. I don’t remember being nervous at all during the photo shoot she was amazing every step of the way showing me how to pose fixing my hair fixing my lingerie. It would be impossible to pick my favorite the entire experience from booking to receiving my prints to now just saying hi on Instagram. This whole experience was amazing and continues to remind me that everyBODY is beautiful, even mine.
Q: Did a boudoir session with Billie change the way you see yourself?
A: 1000% it has changed a ton of aspects of my life how I view myself how I conduct myself around people. I used to tell people I hated going to concerts but in reality I was so ashamed of how I looked and how I felt and clothes, I didn’t feel like I could be pretty enough to go to a concert. Which looking back seems so ridiculous because no one‘s there to see me haha! I live my life now. As I am. I go out and play with my child in the swimming pool without a second thought I’m not ashamed to be intimate with my spouse.
Q: What do you say to anyone thinking about booking a session?
A: FUCKING DO IT! Just do it. It is not something you will regret you are worth the investment, your self image is worth the investment, your happiness is worth the investment.
